$$$$$$ FOR SUBMITTED CEMETERY
Each month, I will accept five submitted cemeteries and pay the field agent $30 via a paypal account upon completion and submission. It does not matter how large or small the cemetery is. The field agent will also receive a free lifetime membership. Please follow these requirements and contact me if you have any questions.
Instructions for taking pictures of grave markers:
- Be sure the grave marker fills the frame, avoid shadows and reflections of the photographer. You will need to avoid "feet" shots when you take flat marker photos.
- I consider a grave marker valid evidence for genealogists. If the researcher cannot read the grave marker then the photo is of no use. Be sure when you look at the photo on your computer that you can read the names and dates. The photo should be in focus. You need to be able to read both the name and dates
- Double grave markers are fine as one photo as long as you can read them. If it
is difficult to read the information on a double grave marker in one photo, take
two photos, one for each occupant with their dates. Please do not submit any photos of markers where the person is still alive.
- The dimensions of the photo should not be smaller than 800 pixels wide (length) by 600
pixels tall (height)
.
Instructions for Submitting Grave Marker Photos:
- A picture of the cemetery and any signage should be submitted along with a text file stating name of cemetery, address, county and GPS coordinates
- Please only submit one clear photo of each marker in the cemetery
- There should be no editing or text on the photo unless it is your copyright or watermark which does not impede on reading the marker
- No partial cemeteries accepted, only completed cemeteries
- Cemetery photos can be sent to the Find A Grave Marker in a zip file.
